Mark Howard Hansell

Mr. Hansell passed away October 14, 2013 in Tyler. He was born March 9, 1956 in Washington, D.C. to Richard & Mary Frances Thornton Hansell. He spent his early years in San Antonio where he graduated from MacArthur High School in 1974 and then worked for 25 years for Tradewinds Aerospace. While living in Fredericksburg, he volunteered for the Admiral Nimitz Museum. He moved to Grand Saline in 1997. He worked for the Texas State Rail Road in Rusk and the last 13 years for Nucor Building Systems in Terrell. He was a senior member of Civil Air Patriot in Tyler. Mark was an avid WWII Pacific Theatre buff and could fix and do anything and was a friend to everyone. He loved people, his family and Jesus Christ most of all. He also taught Sunday School at Sand Flat Baptist Church. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Richard Hansell and his mother, Mary Thornton.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Celia Hansell of Grand Saline; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rex & Nita Armour of Grand Saline; son, Luke Hansell of Grand Saline; daughter, Lauren Grace Hansell of Grand Saline; sister, Katherine Fleming and husband Dave of San Antonio, their children, Patrick Fleming and wife Melissa, and Molly Fleming; sister, Molly Hardgrove and husband Tom of Ft. Worth; their children, Jack and Mary Kate Hardgrove; and numerous other relatives and friends.
