Michael Timothy Syptak

November 1, 1956 - September 25, 2022

Michael (Mike) Timothy Syptak, born on November 1, 1956 in Denver, Colorado, passed on to be with the Lord on September 25, 2022. Crossing over too soon at the age of 65, he is no longer suffering through what was an admirable four-year battle of stage four prostate cancer.

He is preceded in death by his eldest brother Charles Thomas (Tommy) Syptak; parents Jerry and Mildred Syptak; uncle Sonny and aunt Cecilia Syptak.

Mike leaves behind his only son Jason Syptak and former wife Vivian Garza-Steele, brother and sister-in-law Randy and Diana Syptak, and nephew and niece-in-law Michael and Kendall Syptak. He is also survived by cousins Donnie and wife Jessica Syptak and Ronnie and wife Annette Syptak, along with five of his cousin's children who he cared about greatly and talked about often.

He loved cooking for people. Mike was widely known in his community for barbecuing a delicious steak and deep frying an unforgettable turkey that was the talk of the area. His hobbies included baseball, fishing, yard work, building things with his brother and making anyone he could laugh with his witty and smart jokes. Only his brother and son could dish it right back to him. As an avid collector of "National Geographic," he also enjoyed adventures and loved activities in nature, especially kayaking and whitewater rafting.

Mike was a natural salesman. Throughout his life, he held numerous sales positions at The Coca-Cola Company and Zales Jewelers. During the latter part of his career, he worked for himself in the video game and restaurant equipment business under Fiesta Amusements and Fiesta Restaurant Supply respectively. He graduated from Douglas MacArthur High School in 1974 where he played football and was a pitcher on the school's baseball team.
