Terry Halty (Kennemer)

May 1, 1956 - January 19, 2022

Terry Halty Kennemer passed away January 19, 2022 surrounded by family and friends after a courageous fight against cancer.

Terry was raised in San Antonio by her parents Floyd Halty and Patricia Criswell. She and her brother, Scott Halty, shared an interest in genealogy and both had an extensive knowledge of their family history. After graduating from MacArthur High School in 1974, Terry started a family and focused on raising her three children. She married the love of her life, Bill Kennemer, in 1987. Terry began a career with United Airlines in 1988. During this time, she earned a degree in Human Resources from UTSA. She decided to continue her career with United Airlines, where she spent 30 years building lifelong friendships and sharing her passion for travel with everyone she encountered. Throughout the years, Terry spent time in the air and on the road traveling the country with family and friends. Via car, sailboat, mail boat, ferry, lobster boat, and plane, she met her goal of visiting every lighthouse in Maine. Her dream of visiting them all in one epic trip has been passed along to the next of us.

Terry leaves behind her devoted husband Bill Kennemer; son Lance Eichholtz and his wife, Joni; daughter Kristin Eichholtz and her husband, Ted Phillips; daughter Ashley Moore; son-in-law Kirk Moore; brother Scott Halty; sister Janet Ouellette and her husband, Albert; as well as an extended circle of family and friends. Her grandchildren, Kirk III, Cole, Carter and Paige, were a true joy in her life, and she cherished every moment she spent with them. All of our lives are better because of her unending love, positivity, and light.

Terry and I were best friends for many years.
She lived on Olney Lane and I lived one block over on Karen Lane. I believe we went to Garner and Mac together. We were in Bairns together. I think.
So long ago. She was such a part of my teen years. Such a shock to read of her passing. May she rest in eternal peace
