After completing my residency in the Pediatrics division of M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, I obtained my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Following a two year fellowship, also in Pediatrics, I took a position as Assistant Professor at Stephen F. Austin State University. The last 9 years of my 18 were spent as department Chair. I retired as a Full Professor in 2010, and my husband (Chuck) and I moved to Cozumel, Mexico. We go back to Texas about 3 times per year for his work, but can't wait to get back home to our little piece of paradise.
